BBC GoodFood Summer Show June 2017

This year summer show from the NEC in Birmingham, was different compared to other years i have been covering the show.

Normally the Summer Good Food Show (search for the following on social media #GFSSummer) is accompanied by the Gardener’s Show in the NEC.

While on other years the GoodFood Show is 60% versus 40% of the Gardener’s Show, this year, was literally 30% GFSS and 70% Garden show. Don’t know what happened there.

Also, and you might remember from previous posts, normally there is like a trend or a majority of stalls with similar products, most of them making a market research if their brand (normally new brands) have a good search from the public. The trend that I’ve found, probably because of sunny weather, was: Oils (as rapeseed oils), Dips and Sauces and plenty of Drinks.

We know is BBQ season but…

Great sides of the show was the Michelin star challenge with Brum Love Glynn Purnell and my private sushi Class with sensei Masa from Yutaka (I have still to edit the video) and some new brand owners I have met along the way.

I am going to list some of the brands that I have spoken with and really loved their products and hopefully I will see them grow more in the market. (Sorry if i missed You!).
