Easy and Quick Waffle Recipe (Video)

The basic Belgium Waffle recipe.

You can use what you have at home, is quick to prepare and gives you a generous batch of waffles from 12 to 16 waffles, depending on how your waffle maker takes and how much you pour.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of self-raising Flour
  • 1 Tbsp of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp of salt
  • 3 Tbsp of sugar (or any other substitute such as stevia, just make sure you calculate how much of stevia is comparing to normal sugar)
  • 2 Eggs separated
  • 1/3 Cup of Oil
  • 2 Cups of Milk or vegetable milk (I use soya milk)
  • 1 Tsp of Vanilla

Method:

  • Add all the dry ingredients and mix them up.
  • Add the yolks and whisk with a fork the white until they are a bit foamy white, add them to the mix.
  • Add the Oil, the milk and the vanilla. Whisk everything away.
  • Turn the Waffle Maker and spray a bit of oil (do this between each batch when cooking).
  • Pour 1/2 of cup or less in the waffle mould. This depends on your waffle maker. Just make sure you pour in the middle because it will spread. Continue to do this until you finish the whole batch.

TIP:

Freezing Waffles: You can freeze the waffles. Just let them get cold.

Add one waffle per little bag and put them in the freezer. Stack them up. Whenever you like a treat, take the waffle straight from the freezer and put it in the toaster, in low, and that’s it. They last on the freezer for almost 3 months.

Enjoy!
