Rather than creating another traditional parade, Disneyland Paris has developed an attraction that encourages guests to become part of the performance. By blending storytelling, music and choreography inspired by the worlds of Rapunzel, Moana, Raya and Tiana, the cavalcade offers something that feels more immersive than a simple character procession.
A Celebration of Adventure Instead of Royalty
Disney Princess Cavalcade focuses on the qualities that define each featured character rather than simply presenting them as royal icons. Rapunzel, Moana, Raya and Tiana each represent determination, courage and curiosity, themes that shape the entire experience.
The route begins near the future Lion King-themed area, then travels to The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, before returning to its starting point. During each performance, the princesses travel aboard individually themed floats before stepping down midway through the cavalcade to invite guests into an interactive celebration.
Each princess introduces movements inspired by her own story. Moana’s choreography reflects traditional Pacific Island dance, while Raya’s routine incorporates martial arts influences. Guests are encouraged to participate alongside the performers, creating an experience that feels more like a live celebration than a parade watched from the sidelines.

Incredible Detail Behind Every Float and Costume
Although the performances last only a short time, the preparation behind Disney Princess Cavalcade has been extensive. According to Disneyland Paris, the production required more than 18 months of development and 287 hours of rehearsals before its debut.
The creative teams drew inspiration from both the animated films and the cultures that influenced them. Each float has been carefully designed to recreate recognisable locations, including Motunui from Moana, the Heart Palace from Raya and the Last Dragon, the lively streets of New Orleans from The Princess and the Frog, and The Snuggly Duckling tavern from Tangled. Familiar companions such as Heihei, Pua, Tuk Tuk, Ray and Pascal also appear throughout the procession.
Attention to detail extends well beyond the floats themselves. The costumes were imagined by Disneyland Paris’ own creative costume team and produced in France, while many decorative elements were handcrafted specifically for the production. Hundreds of individual fabric pieces, hand-painted accessories and sculpted decorations help bring each princess’s world to life with remarkable authenticity.
Music also plays an important role in the overall experience. Two original songs were created exclusively for the cavalcade and recorded by around 50 musicians working between Nashville and Paris. Drawing inspiration from classic Disney Princess soundtracks, the music provides a lively backdrop that reinforces the adventurous tone of the performance.
