Inside this March Box:
My Bolognese Mince meat:
This is a very basic recipe that goes in a second here at home.
I use this recipe for any Italian dish that has mince meat: lasagna, cannelloni, Spag Bol, etc.
Ingredients:
500gr of mince meat (or quorn mince for a vegan dish)
Cirio Tomato Pure
salt and white pepper
garlic and onion
2 Tbsp of Olive oil
Oregano leaves
Bay leaves
2 large tomatoes diced
1 Oxo/Maggi cube (I prefer chicken)
To prepare:
Add the olive oil in a sauce pan
wash your bay leaves and add in the pan, along with the diced tomatoes and the oregano (this will release the aromas from the leaves)
Add the mince meat – mix and separate the meat while mixing.
add garlic and onion and salt and pepper, plus with Maggi or oxo cube
When the meat is brown, and cooked, add the Cirio Pure and leave it for at least 20 minutes in a medium fire.
If you’re doing Vegan (as I sometimes do):
Substitute the stock for a vegan stock and use either quorn mince or any mince meat substitute like dehydrated Soya or Seitan.
