Organic Snacks for our children

I try my best to feed my RJ with the best and organic products… Of course he can have occasionally home made chips and hamburger as any child (and us adults) like.

I had some problems with my son to eat without gagging (if you have been following me on this). If he has that feeling that he can’t breathe, he gags and (now he can do this) spits what;s bothering him but won’t touch that food again.
It has been a struggling since I started to wean him but step by step thing gets better.
So his notion of eating a cookie by himself only started when he was 14 months (now he is better at 17 months)…still he has all signs on Claustrophobia (fear of not breathing correctly and doesn’t like to be in tight spaces).

So what is Organic Food?
According to the website Organic.org, Organic food is:

Simply stated, organic produce and other ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones.

Organic food is a little bit more expensive than the regular, but if you can, it tastes better and is healthier.

But what about snacks for our little ones?

Ella’s Kitchen kindly sent me a huge goodie box so my boy could try their organic products.

Thank you for your goodies Ella’s Kitchen, it helped. I tell you why:

This goodie box arrived

With things like:

But I was more concerned with this ones

Why was I concerned? Because he had a bad experience with this type of products before. As any baby/toddler, he will grab and put everything on his mouth. normally this type of products will melt in his mouth so if he puts everything inside his mouth…he will think he is suffocating…
Nothing happened this time (thank goodness)!
I started by giving him little pieces and then I confide in him and let him go on his adventure and it went great! So great because it didn’t actually melted in his mouth totally, so he needed to chew a bit and he started to feel confidence n himself… and the flavour… it’s delicious! (yes I did gave him his part…I however did try one… or two…ok…maybe a couple of them more!).

I became a huge fan of Ellas’s Kitchen. Not only for the flavours but also because of the wonderful experience my son had and how he now feels confident on eating by himself.
Not all the children are the same. You can read opinions online or family “kindly” can give you opinions, but you as a parent will do what you think is best for your child.

This time I had a little help from Ella’s Kitchen. 🙂
